Python Developer

• Design, build, and maintain highly resilient, event-driven services running on AWS serverless infrastructure;
• Own and develop infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure deployment reliability and consistency;
• Actively contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate alternative design approaches, and document technical trade-offs;
• Focus on operational excellence, ensuring services are secure, highly available, scalable, and easy to monitor;
• Write and maintain robust automated end-to-end tests to ensure high product quality;
• Collaborate closely with fellow senior engineers to evolve our developer platform capabilities and core engineering standards.

• Strong, hands-on professional experience using Python as your primary language;
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure including VPCs, multi-account setups, and security, alongside experience with AWS Lambda in high-traffic production environments;
• Practical experience designing and operating event-driven systems using EventBridge, SQS, and SNS, with a clear understanding of asynchronous communication;
• Solid experience using AWS CDK, ideally using TypeScript;
• Exceptional architectural and operational knowledge of DynamoDB, including single-table design, access-pattern modeling, GSIs/LSIs, capacity planning, TTL, and operational troubleshooting;
• Strong grasp of distributed data consistency including ACID versus BASE and eventual consistency, alongside service boundaries;
• Strong experience with automated testing strategies, ideally utilizing BDD frameworks such as Behave;
• Experience with schema definition and validation libraries like JSON Schema or Pydantic;
• Nice to have: Operational and development experience with AWS OpenSearch, Hands-on application profiling and memory optimization skills, Experience designing and managing GraphQL or REST APIs, Background in operating high-volume, mission-critical production workloads.
