FishingBooker operates an online platform for booking fishing trips worldwide.

• Join the Captains or Realization team as a Mid-Senior, Senior, Lead, or Principal engineer;
• Develop and improve the end-to-end booking realization process on the platform;
• Develop and maintain payment infrastructure focusing on advanced payment models and integration with services like Stripe;
• Implement tax services including tax calculation and fund collection according to various market regulations;
• Develop and maintain booking flows connecting captains and customers;
• Develop and improve the Instant Messaging system for fast, secure, and efficient communication between platform users;
• Manage captain experience as main partners on the platform through business management entities;
• Guide captains and internal teams to improve and verify offers using personalized suggestions, performance reviews, and document verification processes;
• Utilize artificial intelligence to improve offerings through image tagging and listing description text generation;
• Hide personal data from captain pictures and messages and recognize captains attempting to bypass the platform;
• Work on tools that give captains greater control over their business outside the FishingBooker platform;
• Integrate and work with third-party payment and communication tools;
• Actively contribute to the overall engineering ecosystem through technical discussions, architectural decisions, proposing solutions, mentoring junior colleagues, and raising engineering standards.

• Bring 5+ years of experience in backend web application development;
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of one or more server-side programming languages, preferably PHP;
• Design and implement highly scalable and performant backend systems including caching, load balancing, and optimization techniques;
• Apply strong database concepts and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Design and build RESTful or GraphQL APIs with understanding of best practices, versioning, and security;
• Utilize web server technologies, preferably NGINX, with an understanding of server configuration and optimization;
• Work with cloud platforms including deployment and management of applications in cloud environments;
• Apply containerization technologies such as Docker;
• Understand backend system security principles including data encryption, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability protection;
• Demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills;
• Show strong self-organization and prioritization abilities;
• Understand data structures, problem-solving approaches, and trade-off decision making;
• Hold an engineering degree or equivalent experience, ideally in computer science or software engineering.
