Joi AI is a platform for AI-lationships that provides personalized, emotionally intelligent connections between people and AI characters. The company builds characters with distinct personalities, moods, and voices, aiming to facilitate long-term relationships between users and AI. Additionally, Joi Lab serves as an open research arm focused on developing open-source generative models, agent architectures, and training infrastructure.

• Contribute to the architecture of high-load services and grow the existing C# / .NET Core codebase;
• Build new product features and integrations, including the AI layer for voice, real-time, video, and emotion recognition;
• Design and operate async pipelines on RabbitMQ, ensuring delivery guarantees, idempotency, error handling, and backpressure;
• Work with MS SQL schema and queries under load, including indexes, execution plans, and hot-path optimization;
• Hold the bar on code quality across the team through code review, testing, observability, and engineering standards;
• Influence technical decisions beyond the immediate area of responsibility.

• 5+ Years of commercial C# / .NET development, including 2+ years on .NET Core in production;
• Real distributed-systems and high-load experience with a focus on throughput, latency, and fault tolerance;
• Hands-on experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ preferred; Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or NATS acceptable) and MS SQL Server under load;
• Fluent Russian;
• Ready to work in CET (±2) hours.
