Banco BPI promotes the development and adoption of Artificial Intelligence capabilities through an internal and external collaborative ecosystem, enabling AI deployment across banking functions to improve personalization, innovation, and efficiency.

• Support data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis;
• Develop visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar;
• Build statistical and predictive models under the supervision of senior data scientists;
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends;
• Document procedures and maintain well-organized, reusable code;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analyses.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 2 To 3 years of professional experience with Python, R, or SQL;
• Basic knowledge of Bash and Git;
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and statistics;
• Experience training and testing models, processing large volumes of data, and applying Data Science techniques for dimensionality reduction, leakage, overfitting, and related challenges;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn continuously;
• Nice to have: developing and implementing models in cloud environments such as GCP, experience monitoring model performance, knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence and/or Computer Vision.
