Longshot Systems builds advanced platforms for sports betting analytics and trading.

• Design, build, and productionise ML pipelines, tooling, visualisation, frameworks, and data engineering workflows;
• Support strategy research, analysis, and development;
• Work closely with quantitative research teams to turn prototype trading models into production-ready systems;
• Shape the high-level architecture of strategy software;
• Build systems that scale effectively and maintain low trading latency.

• Hold a degree in a quantitative or technical subject such as Machine Learning, Maths, Physics, or Computer Science from a top university;
• Have significant software engineering experience, especially with the modern Python ML stack;
• Demonstrate engineering excellence and encourage best practices in others;
• Have strong experience designing and maintaining ML pipelines and data engineering workflows;
• Be familiar with CI/CD, containerisation such as Docker and Kubernetes, and automated testing;
• Have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure;
• Be comfortable working in a Linux environment;
• Nice to have: advanced Python data engineering with Dagster or Prefect, dataframe optimisation with Pandas or Polars, machine learning techniques and frameworks such as scikit-learn, Pytorch, or Tensorflow, production ML model deployment and serving including monitoring and real-time inference, scientific computing with other languages and frameworks, high-performance computing including multi-threading, networking, profiling, and optimisation, C/C++ experience.
