Java Developer

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs supporting customer-facing financial products;
• Produce clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code aligned with engineering standards;
• Build highly available, resilient, and scalable microservices for cloud-native architectures;
• Develop event-driven solutions using modern messaging technologies;
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making;
• Develop and deploy applications within AWS cloud environments;
• Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker;
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and DevOps practices;
• Ensure observability and monitoring across services;
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Designers, and Business Stakeholders;
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives;
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives regarding process, tooling, and quality;
• Act as a subject matter expert on backend technologies and patterns;
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance;
• Promote engineering standards, code review practices, and software craftsmanship;
• Drive innovation and explore new tools and approaches.

• Strong commercial experience in backend software development;
• Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and/or Micronaut frameworks;
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices;
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and distributed systems;
• Experience working with AWS services and cloud-native architectures;
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker;
• Knowledge of messaging technologies and event-driven systems;
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in complex distributed environments;
• Nice to have: Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries, experience building highly secure applications and handling sensitive data, expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation, experience with observability tooling, monitoring, and logging platforms, understanding of data-driven product development and analytics.
