Java Developer

The project involves a next-generation cross-asset data management platform built on big data architecture. This scalable and cloud-ready solution supports business strategy for trade and sales clients by providing industry-leading analytics, client reporting, regulatory compliance, surveillance, and data science tools.

• Design and build frameworks for ingesting and modeling complex Risk data;
• Develop low latency caching to service Front office risk systems;
• Setup monitoring and management for services;
• Provide SME support for the development of automated QA scripts.

• Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies: Hadoop Ecosystem (HDFS, Impala, HIVE, HBASE, etc.) and Apache Spark;
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, including professional backend software development;
• Strong knowledge of Java programming languages;
• Familiarity with algorithms and design patterns;
• Proficiency in Linux environment, including scripting;
• Experience in designing and building APIs (Java);
• Expertise in Java Server-side or Back-end development, Core Java, Java collections, multithreading, and Java Memory Management;
• Proficiency in Database and SQL, including writing stored procedures and designing table schemas;
• Understanding of distributed systems and CI/CD workflow;
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and quickly learn new concepts;
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach;
• Nice to have: Experience with in-memory databases and caching, job orchestration tools like Autosys or Airflow, Apache Spark, financial background.
