Java Developer

• Lead the design and implementation of modular architecture based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles;
• Define technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines in collaboration with architects;
• Collaborate with architects and business analysts to define domain boundaries and integration patterns;
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and security in all technical solutions;
• Participate in coding for proof of concepts (PoCs) and critical components;
• Support the team in developing complex features and resolving technical challenges;
• Review and optimize existing code to improve performance and maintainability;
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers;
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural principles;
• Act as a bridge between development, architects, product, and business teams;
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes;
• Oversee the implementation of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines;
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software components;
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose architectural improvements;
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

• Fluent English (written and spoken);
• Minimum 10 years of experience in similar positions and over 15 years of total work experience;
• Degree in systems engineering or a related field;
• Strong hands-on full-stack development skills;
• Experience in modernizing, optimizing, and upgrading legacy systems;
• Expertise in DDD, SOLID, Clean Code, BDD, KISS, YAGNI, and modular architecture;
• Proficiency in micro-frontend, microservices, API design, and event-driven architecture;
• Solid experience with AWS;
• Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices;
• Hands-on experience with React, Kotlin or Java, Quarkus or Spring Boot, SQL and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Atlas MongoDB, DynamoDB);
• Proficiency in reactive programming, Kafka, data modeling, integration patterns, and security;
• Experience with documentation, UML, C4 modeling, AWS diagrams, and threat modeling;
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with LMS platforms and educational technology, knowledge of accelerate extreme programming and software craftsmanship principles.
