Delivery Hero operates a global local delivery platform that connects customers with restaurants and shops. • Design and build real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka to enable event-driven architectures and real-time analytics;
• Develop CDC-based ingestion pipelines with Debezium, focusing on core infrastructure engineering and high-scale integration with GCP and BigQuery;
• Drive a mission-critical initiative to ensure high standards for data quality, observability, and reliability;
• Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize workflows and build scalable data models for logistics optimization;
• Support the logistics domain with reliable, well-documented datasets;
• Maintain infrastructure by participating in a flexible on-call rotation to ensure system stability.

• 3+ Years of experience in data engineering or backend/data platform roles with a track record in core infrastructure engineering;
• Strong hands-on experience with streaming systems (Apache Kafka, Confluent) and CDC tools like Debezium;
• Extensive experience with GCP (BigQuery) and modern data stacks (Spark, Flink) to manage complex, distributed systems;
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with experience supporting data scientists and operationalizing ML pipelines and MLOps workflows;
• Understanding of real-time data processing and a commitment to high standards for data quality, observability, and reliability;
• Positive, high-energy attitude with a desire to work in a collaborative team;
• Nice to have: Experience in logistics, mobility, or marketplace platforms, exposure to feature stores, online inference systems, or real-time ML, experience with data observability tools.
