описание
The project focuses on AI-driven automation in the insurance domain, specifically building a system for submission processing and document automation. EPAM provides enterprise software products, open-source solutions, and accelerators.
задачи
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python;
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices;
- Architect systems to reduce risks related to availability, latency, and efficiency;
- Work with relational and non-relational databases and optimize their performance;
- Apply GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, and Vector stores to real-world automation use cases;
- Apply Prompt Engineering techniques to build solutions for automation of insurance processes;
- Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on scalability and maintainability;
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and application deployment using Azure DevOps and Docker / Container Apps;
- Support production deployments and environment configuration;
- Apply SRE best practices and define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets;
- Implement observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing;
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and mitigate performance and availability risks.
требования
- 5+ Years of Python development experience and commercial experience with Angular;
- Strong knowledge of Python frameworks: Django, FastAPI, and Flask;
- Experience with REST APIs and API documentation tools such as Swagger;
- Experience designing and maintaining production-grade systems;
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB;
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture;
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
- Experience with Prompt Engineering, GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, and Vector stores;
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools;
- Understanding of SLIs/SLOs, reliability principles, system performance, scalability, and availability;
- Experience working in Agile environments;
- English at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher;
- Nice to have: experience with high-load systems, knowledge of asynchronous programming, experience with message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, understanding of DevOps practice, background in the insurance domain.

- Work schedule: 5 am–1 pm EST (11:00–20:00 Kyiv time).
