Xsolla provides commerce tools and services that help video game developers fund, distribute, market, and monetize their games. It operates as a merchant of record and supports game developers worldwide.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Participate in architecture and design discussions; write and review technical design documents
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with unit and integration test coverage
• Optimize database schemas and queries; ensure performance and reliability under load
• Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using message brokers
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems; participate in incident response and post-mortems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and engineering best practices
• Review code and mentor Middle and Junior engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end to end
• Maintain clear API and technical documentation
• Own services end to end, from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and on-call support

• 5+ Years of commercial backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Go, including idiomatic code, concurrency patterns, and performance profiling
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and migrations
• Experience with Redis or similar caching solutions
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and documenting them with OpenAPI/Swagger
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed-systems trade-offs, including consistency, availability, and failure modes
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS, and event-driven design
• Experience with Docker and a good understanding of Kubernetes basics
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices
• Solid experience with automated unit and integration testing
• Understanding of application security fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10, secure handling of secrets and user data, and authentication and authorization basics
• Good written and spoken English
