Data Scientist - Marketing

Preply provides online learning experiences that connect learners with tutors. Its platform supports personalized learning journeys across more than 30 markets, with tutors teaching over 90 languages to learners in 180 countries.

• Own and expand the Marketing Mix Model from its current US model to a global hierarchical setup, and turn it into an automated platform for budget allocation
• Translate model outputs into budget decisions and channel strategy in partnership with performance marketing and Finance
• Set the testing roadmap for the model, and design and run incrementality tests, including geo experiments and other causal inference methods
• Design a unified measurement framework connecting MMM, attribution, and incrementality
• Extend causal inference methods beyond marketing for Finance and Product impact measurement
• Work with Data Engineering to build scalable pipelines and evolve the ETL as the modeling stack grows

• Hands-on Marketing Mix Model experience, including testing multiple approaches to develop a robust, defensible model
• Strong grounding in Bayesian statistics applied to MMM and causal inference
• Built or owned at least one marketing mix model, geo-experimentation program, or other causal measurement system that steered real budget
• Experience turning measurement outputs into actionable language for marketing and Finance
• Experience designing and evaluating incrementality tests and A/B experiments
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Advanced written and verbal English
