• As a Data Engineer, you design and develop complex data integration solutions for demanding application and product environments
• You integrate, process and make usable heterogeneous data from different source systems, for example from batch, streaming or IoT applications
• Developing extensive data pipelines, data models and cloud-based data solutions with a high degree of technical complexity is part of your area of responsibility
• You develop suitable data and solution architectures, taking into account business processes and requirements for scalability, performance, security, maintainability and cost-effectiveness
• You specifically advance existing system landscapes by integrating new data solutions and coordinate the transition of production-ready solutions into operations
• Creating and evaluating comprehensive test concepts and ensuring traceable technical documentation are part of your responsibilities
• You plan and coordinate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and independently manage functional and technical dependencies
• As a subject matter expert, you advise internal customers, project leads and management on challenging data engineering issues

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, a natural science or a comparable field. Alternatively, you have an equivalent qualification and extensive practical experience
• You have several years of professional experience in data engineering and a track record of successfully implementing complex data integration solutions in production environments
• Your professional profile includes in-depth knowledge of designing and developing sophisticated data pipelines, data models and data architectures
• You are confident using relevant data engineering technologies such as Python or Scala, SQL, and ETL or ELT methods
• You use cloud and data platforms routinely and understand their technical relationships and potential applications
• You independently develop viable solutions to complex challenges and make responsible use of the scope you have to shape them
• You are familiar with professional development and quality standards such as automated testing, Git, CI/CD, code reviews, technical documentation and procedures for ensuring data quality
