The client is one of the world's leading providers of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips, with R&D and manufacturing operations in The Netherlands.

• Work on Linux server applications for metrology components and on complex algorithms application software;
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechatronic engineers and system engineers to define software requirements;
• Make a software design and document it using UML;
• Discuss and review the design with the software team;
• Implement the design in Python & C/C++ for new modules;
• Write auto and unit testers in Python;
• Download the code to one of the lithography machines and test the code after review;
• Collect necessary data during testing to write a test report;
• Release software after the test report is reviewed and approved.

• C/C++ application coding with C language 70%;
• Client domain knowledge;
• Familiarity with Linux command line tools, makefile, git, shell and python scripting;
• Understanding and maintaining legacy code in embedded C and C++;
• Add new features while keeping compliance with established architecture;
• Version control using command line with Git, Clear Case and SVN in order of priority;
• English B2 Upper Intermediate;
• Nice to have: Willing to learn/improve Python skills, Agile mindset.
