Backend Developer

CloudLinux Inc. develops operating systems and security solutions for hosting providers. Imunify360 provides an automated, multi-layered security suite designed to protect shared, VPS, and dedicated servers from cyber threats.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for the Imunify360 server platform;
• Develop and improve high-throughput, fault-tolerant messaging and data processing pipelines;
• Operate and maintain core server components, including proxies, message brokers, caches, and databases;
• Investigate and resolve complex issues in distributed systems to ensure uptime and reliability;
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests;
• Collaborate with infrastructure, monitoring, and product teams to refine architecture and optimize system performance;
• Monitor production services using Grafana and Telegraf to address bottlenecks and scaling challenges;
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments;
• Participate in design reviews and incident analysis, contributing to the long-term technical vision.

• 5+ Years of professional experience as a Backend Developer;
• Experience with high-load applications (approx. 100k rps);
• Strong proficiency in Golang, including hands-on experience with goroutines;
• Practical experience with Python, including asyncio-based development;
• Experience maintaining Linux services and web applications;
• Experience with AI engineering, including LLM, RAG, cost optimization, and prompt engineering;
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ or Kafka;
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis, including distributed caching;
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or other columnar databases for large-scale analytics;
• Practical experience with Docker;
• Experience with HAProxy or similar load balancing solutions;
• Strong understanding of high-throughput service design and distributed system challenges;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployment workflows;
• Excellent debugging skills for network, data, and system-level issues;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for distributed teams;
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English;
• Nice to have: Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Salt), experience with monitoring and metrics stacks (Grafana, Mimir, Graphite, Telegraf), experience with DNS systems (Unbound or similar).
