BWI GmbH provides IT services and consulting that support the digital transformation and reliable IT operations of the German Bundeswehr.

• Conduct user research using user stories, user flows, and journeys;
• Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for digital products, from wireframes to finished UI designs and high-fidelity prototypes;
• Conduct usability tests and build, develop, and maintain the design system;
• Conduct workshops and interviews;
• Analyze and prioritize requirements, and document and track them;
• Analyze and model processes;
• Collaborate closely with development teams, internal contractors, project teams, and external service providers;
• Communicate business requirements, user needs, and technical possibilities;
• Advise user representatives and clients on UX/UI topics.

• Degree in media and communication design, media informatics/HCI, psychology, or sociology;
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience as a Senior UX/UI Designer;
• Strong understanding of UX principles and Design Thinking;
• Extensive experience designing digital user interfaces with consideration for usability and accessibility (BITV/WCAG);
• Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD;
• Experience preparing and conducting workshops, creating prototypes, and running usability tests;
• Fast learner, especially regarding processes and technical requirements;
• Strong communication and moderation skills;
• High quality standards;
• Willingness to travel to user locations within Germany;
• Fluent German and very good written and spoken English;
• Nice to have: experience in the learning ecosystem.
