Product Designer

Hyperexponential develops an AI-powered platform that enables insurance companies to make data-driven pricing and underwriting decisions. The platform integrates data, AI, and human expertise to streamline workflows and manage risk. Backed by major venture capital firms, the company scales globally to support large insurers in automating complex insurance processes.

• Design intuitive and accessible product experiences across the platform;
• Translate complex problems into clear, usable solutions with a focus on evolving the model developer experience;
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to support discovery, ideation, and delivery on product initiatives;
• Contribute components and patterns to the Xpression design language system to ensure consistency and quality;
• Maintain a high bar for design craft through interaction design, visual clarity, and iterative improvement;
• Use AI tools within the workflow to support research synthesis, exploration, and prototyping;
• Support AI-native discovery and collaboration by bringing structured design thinking into cross-functional work.

• Experience designing end-to-end product experiences grounded in user needs;
• Hands-on experience working within a design system, including contributing or refining components and patterns;
• Strong foundation in design craft with attention to usability, accessibility, and interaction quality;
• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering in a cross-functional team;
• Demonstrable use of AI-enabled tools in the design workflow;
• Clear communication skills and comfort participating in critique, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving;
• Nice to have: Experience in complex B2B or technical product design, Background in actuarial or insurance domains.
