Business analyst in payment decisioning

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

• Lead business analysis for complex, cross-functional initiatives within a consumer risk and payment decisioning platform, managing the full lifecycle from discovery to delivery.
• Act as a domain expert for risk assessment, fraud prevention, and underwriting, translating regulatory and business requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria while influencing roadmap strategy.
• Assess the impact of evolving financial regulations on system architecture, workflows, and customer journeys.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the refinement of analysis frameworks and internal processes.

• A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar capacity within the FinTech or financial services sector.
• Strong domain expertise in payment processing, risk management, or fraud detection systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements, including data models and system workflows, within an agile environment.
