Business Analyst

• Work with stakeholders to understand goals and vision, identify business needs, and balance competing priorities;
• Orchestrate collaboration within the team and with business stakeholders;
• Communicate how requirements align with business needs and broader goals using clear storytelling;
• Provide business analysis support to the product manager, business sponsors, subject matter experts, and the team during development;
• Identify root causes of pain points and validate business opportunities and problems using data and quantitative analysis;
• Map, analyse, and validate information flows and user journeys in a complex organisational setting;
• Contribute to process, system, and system architecture design improvements;
• Plan, organise, and lead workshops and group sessions that generate ideas and resolve problems;
• Champion business analysis best practices within the BA community;
• Challenge and influence decisions with a focus on customer and business value;
• Monitor, track, and communicate project progress, risks, and issues using project management practices;
• Capture information in the team’s Jira and keep it up to date;
• Develop an understanding of the technology stack, system capabilities, and data landscape;
• Strengthen team ceremonies and add value to the delivery process;
• Build relationships with team members, stakeholders, providers, and dependent teams;
• Gauge and co-define work complexity and scope, breaking work into smaller pieces where appropriate;
• Contribute to blameless post-mortems;
• Ensure solutions provide business value while solving customer problems;
• Onboard new team members;
• Understand customer needs and how the work affects their experience;
• Give and receive constructive feedback within the team;
• Organise and run sessions with Business Analyst discipline peers;
• Define product or service vision and strategy in terms of business and customer outcomes;
• Define KPIs to measure product and service performance;
• Apply a data-driven approach to current and future product and service development;
• Engage in or facilitate agile ceremonies, planning, prioritisation, steering sessions, story kick-offs, analysis and design workshops, showcases, and retrospectives;
• Work with stakeholders to understand, analyse, and scope new work;
• Support team members in problem-solving activities to remove blockers and complete agreed work.

• Quickly gain context of the product, user space, programme landscape, and broader business picture;
• Work proactively and independently, seek information, and ask for advice when needed;
• Experience working successfully with teams to deliver software using agile methods;
• Experience facilitating groups to achieve defined goals and outcomes with different facilitation tools and techniques;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical and functional business concepts clearly;
• Proven experience managing and resolving stakeholder conflict;
• Ability to use available data to inform decisions and build better products;
• Strong focus on high-quality customer experience and sustainable solutions;
