Business Analyst

• Gather, clarify, and prioritise business requirements with stakeholders;
• Lead discovery workshops and deep-dive sessions to understand processes and outcomes;
• Define functional and non-functional requirements including regulatory, security, and control considerations;
• Challenge assumptions, resolve ambiguity, and support decision-making;
• Analyse current-state processes and design target-state solutions;
• Collaborate with SMEs, technology teams, and vendors to ensure end-to-end traceability;
• Support testing and UAT by defining scenarios, supporting defect triage, and contributing to delivery sign-off;
• Identify opportunities for process and ways-of-working improvements;
• Support business readiness activities including communications, training, and benefits tracking;
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to build relationships and support change.

• Proven experience delivering change within Financial Services;
• Strong understanding of operating in a regulated environment;
• Familiarity with FCA and PRA expectations and audit-ready documentation;
• Experience in UK retail banking products;
• Core Business Analysis skills including running workshops and producing documentation;
• Proficiency in producing standard BA artefacts such as BRDs, user stories, and process maps;
• Understanding of end-to-end delivery across waterfall and agile environments;
• Experience working with technology teams across locations and time zones;
• Hands-on experience with testing, including SIT/UAT scripts and defect management;
• Proficiency in delivery and analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio/Lucidchart, Figma, Excel, and basic SQL;
• Degree in IT, Finance, Business or related field;
• Nice to have: Relevant BA certifications, experience with debit cards and home lending.
