Business Analyst

JetBrains creates developer tools designed to automate routine tasks and improve production efficiency. The Business Application Development team manages internal and customer-facing systems for licensing, subscriptions, billing, payments, and reporting.

• Lead discovery and requirements discussions;
• Organize and improve the intake and analysis process within the team;
• Structure requirements to support effective development;
• Support developers and QA engineers during implementation;
• Investigate unfamiliar areas independently;
• Analyze edge cases, dependencies, risks, and long-term maintainability;
• Reduce ambiguity around projects.

• Solid experience in business analysis within software development teams;
• Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle;
• Ability to structure complex information and turn discussions into clear requirements;
• Focus on core problems while avoiding unnecessary complexity;
• Ability to discuss implementation details and technical constraints with engineers;
• Proactive and curious mindset with the ability to work in environments with evolving documentation;
• Adaptable communication style and analytical approach;
• Nice to have: SQL skills, ability to read code, experience with technically complex systems or system analysis, experience with billing, subscriptions, or payments.
