M&G is currently investing in digital and data capabilities to improve customer experience, streamline operations, and automate processes across its distribution, operations, and finance functions.

• Lead complex data analysis to validate business requirements by interrogating source systems directly;
• Translate data requirements into measurable business outcomes to support decision-making and operational efficiency;
• Assess and document upstream and downstream data flows, dependencies, and interdependencies within the enterprise data architecture;
• Produce technical IT change specifications and narratives with full end-to-end traceability;
• Challenge unfeasible or technically costly requirements and provide alternative solutions;
• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure requirements are accurately converted into data products;
• Influence senior stakeholders to align on data definitions, priorities, and strategic data initiatives;
• Lead data quality assessments and enforce data governance in line with enterprise frameworks.

• Proven expertise in combining business analysis, data analysis, and data cataloguing to identify and document data requirements;
• Proficient use of enterprise data platforms, semantic models, and dimensional modelling;
• Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, ETL processes, and data pipeline concepts;
• Track record of data modelling, architecture, and use of data cataloguing tools;
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis;
• Experience translating complex data requirements into technical specifications within the financial services or life insurance industry;
• Ability to translate technical data concepts into business-friendly language for senior leadership;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, PowerBI, exposure to PLC environments.
