Sales Representative

This opportunity in them sales team is ideal for scientifically minded professionals who enjoy working with customers, solving technical challenges and building long-term business relationships.

• Generate and execute sales plans in existing customer and finding new clients in the Food and Beverage industry;
• Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives
• Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required
• Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
• Actively sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with Nalco Water

Territory/Location Information:

• This is a remote position covering the area between Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham
• Targeted accounts are within the Food & Beverage industries

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related scientific discipline
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutions
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong customer focus
• Accountability and results orientation
• Ability to manage priorities independently while working collaboratively within a team environment
• Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Experience working with customers within manufacturing, food & beverage, industrial, chemical or related environments
• Knowledge of chemistry, industrial processes, water systems or process optimization
• Experience presenting technical information and recommendations to customers
• Commercial awareness and interest in developing a career in technical sales and account management
• Experience using data to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
