Talent acquisition in fintech

Few people get to build a bank from scratch. Even fewer get to build one at a moment when banking itself is being reinvented. The Dollar is the best product in the history of the world - there is infinite global demand. But International Fintechs and non-US banks are left with two unsatisfying options to access it: Either they build on legacy clearing banks that are slow and unreliable, or they interface with middleware providers that don’t move and hold the dollars directly, but themselves rely on underlying legacy banks.

• Source and engage candidates across engineering, product, operations, compliance and sales.
• Coordinate interview processes and keep hiring managers and candidates moving.
• Build and automate our recruiting workflows with Ashby, n8n and AI, so we hire better without adding headcount.
• Own a larger project, like a new sourcing channel, our employer brand, or hiring analytics.

• You are low ego and ready to jump in where you are needed most.
• You are relentless about finding great people. You’d rather send 50 personalized messages than post and pray.
• You know every candidate interaction reflects on Augustus, and you treat it that way.
• You build your personal AI stack that optimizes your productivity and you treat new AI tools as defaults, not curiosities.
• You can build workflows in n8n/zapier/make.
• You are comfortable talking to senior leaders, hiring managers, and candidates from day one.
• You are genuinely excited about what we are building.
• You are currently pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a stellar institution.
• You have 1-2 previous internships or roles in high-growth startups, venture capital, or consulting and/or you have demonstrated initiative through side projects, student organizations, research, or entrepreneurial experiences.
• You are available for 3-6 months.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
