UiPath test automation developer (auto)

The client is undertaking a major digital transformation, building an integrated SAP S/4HANA-based ecosystem and technology stack across markets. The transformation involves more than 200 people and includes an end-to-end test automation suite that simulates user operations across SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Help design and implement the E2E Test Automation framework in UiPath with the Client's Test Automation Lead
• Build the framework around four contracts: Identity, Data, Environment and Result
• Set up test-run orchestration in UiPath Orchestrator and Test Manager, with results flowing into SAP Cloud ALM
• Define reusable components, coding standards and review rules to keep the suite maintainable
• Automate non-SAP steps of E2E business processes in UiPath using UI and API steps
• Connect non-SAP steps with SAP steps automated by another System Integrator into one E2E flow
• Turn agreed E2E scenarios and Test Cases into data-driven automated tests
• Build automation alongside the manual Dry Runs and SIT of the first pilot, preparing it for SIT and Regression in later rollouts
• Run and maintain the E2E suite every weekend and on demand, including before major or critical changes
• Analyze failures, log defects in SAP Cloud ALM and update tests
• Keep the suite stable as processes, systems and release cycles change
• Document the framework, standards and test assets
• Share UiPath and framework know-how with the Client's Test Automation Team
• Report progress, automation coverage and run results to the Client's Test Automation Lead

• 5+ Years in test automation, including 3+ years building test automation in UiPath
• Deep hands-on knowledge of UiPath Studio, including low-code and coded test automation, Orchestrator, Robots and Test Manager
• Experience designing and building a test automation framework from scratch, including architecture, reusable components, standards and reviews
• Experience automating end-to-end business processes across several systems using UI and API steps (REST)
• Experience with data-driven testing and test data handling for automated runs
• UiPath Certified Professional certification, such as Test Automation Engineer Professional or Automation Developer Professional
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated test runs
• Experience automating SAP S/4HANA (SAP GUI / Fiori) with UiPath
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or a similar ALM tool
• Ownership of the framework and suite from design through stable weekly runs
• Clear communication of run results and failures so Test Managers and Product Teams can act on them
• Ability to collaborate with the Client's Test Managers, the programme System Integrator, non-SAP product vendors and Product Teams across locations
• Ability to write clean, reusable and documented automation that others can maintain
• Pragmatism in prioritizing valuable automation under tight timelines
