QA Engineer (auto)

Grid Dynamics provides technology consulting, platform and product engineering, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics services to enterprise companies undergoing business transformation.

• Design, execute, and maintain test strategies for Java-based applications and data pipelines;
• Validate data integrity and correctness across large-scale datasets using strong SQL and Spark SQL skills;
• Write and execute complex queries involving aggregations to verify data outputs;
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, document, and resolve quality issues;
• Participate in requirements gathering and translate business needs into test scenarios;
• Support database migration validation and API response testing as needed;
• Be available for occasional late-hour meetings to coordinate with distributed/global teams.

• Good proficiency in Java (or basic Scala with a strong Java background);
• Significant experience in Quality/Test Engineering;
• Strong skills in querying and understanding databases;
• Strong Spark SQL skills, including working with aggregates;
• Theoretical knowledge of the Hadoop tech stack;
• Theoretical knowledge of Spark and Apache Airflow;
• Nice to have: Willingness to join late-night meetings occasionally (not a regular requirement), Familiarity with database migration tasks and validating API responses, General familiarity with Airflow and Spark, Practical (hands-on) experience with the Hadoop tech stack, UI testing skillset (bonus).
