Technical product manager

BETWEEN Group is a multinational consulting firm in Engineering and ICT. Our services reach every continent and cover several sectors of the global economy, industry, and service companies. BETWEEN currently has a team of 1,000 people in the automotive, railway, retail, and other industries. We are expanding our team and looking for a Product Manager specializing in API products and API First, with extensive experience ensuring continuous delivery of software that brings business value, for a stable, permanent project with a technology team at one of our main clients.

• Drive the product as far as possible and ensure that the team delivers value to the business.
• Manage and negotiate the roadmap with stakeholders of the product's own and requested initiatives.
• API product (API definition): ensure that its evolution can meet the product's current and future needs.
• Be the ultimate owner of the product backlog. Apply prioritization techniques and measure the impact of initiatives for negotiation.
• Communicate and agree on scope changes in the roadmap with stakeholders.
• Work alongside the development team to achieve the best solutions by conveying needs and resolving questions and blockers.
• Carry out strong discovery with stakeholders and users.
• Group different needs and experiences.
• Manage stakeholders, define the strategic roadmap, and write user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Communicate with stakeholders in all areas related to the product, including the development team, to ensure that goals are clear and the vision is aligned with strategic objectives.
• Help the team maintain that vision by creating a product roadmap, a strategic visual summary that describes the product's vision and direction over time.
• Work with management as a stakeholder to create a product that fits its strategic objectives.
• Define product metrics and their use during the development process.
• Stay up to date with the Agile / Scrum working environment.

• Extensive experience with products built around APIs from scratch, extensive experience working with APIs: OpenAPI, Swagger, reading API contracts, checking backward compatibility, being accustomed to five different clients connecting to an API for different uses, reviewing how they use it, and making decisions to be efficient.
• Real hands-on experience defining a product from scratch (not being given what it had to do and simply transcribing it).
• In People, there are many entities to represent (absences, types of absences, etc.), as well as how they affect each country.
• Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
• Experience with API products: defining an API as a product and familiarity with the API First approach.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum work environments.
• Experience making data-driven decisions.
• Experience negotiating with stakeholders and consumers.
• Experience working toward objectives and results.
• Very strong communication skills, clear and direct, and good negotiation skills.
• Previous experience working with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
