Project Manager - Project Controlling

In this key role, you serve as the central bridge between internal teams and external partners. You ensure seamless operations, transparent communication, and the reliable delivery of project milestones—backed by the autonomy to bring your own ideas, flexible working arrangements, and a collaborative team culture.

• Portfolio Steering: Take commercial and operational ownership of a dynamic IT and cloud project portfolio—from initial scoping through to project completion.
• Financials & Forecasting: Maintain a clear view of budgets, margins, and variance analyses at all times. Spot deviations early and turn complex figures into dependable forecasts.
• Standards & Quality: Leverage lean workflows and proven quality gates to establish and embed best practices across all projects.
• Empowering Tech Teams: Clear organizational hurdles for cloud engineers, developers, and consultants so they can focus on delivery, while keeping scope and budget firmly on track.
• Commercial Hygiene: Monitor project hours, protect billability, and supply our finance team with clean data for frictionless invoicing.
• Insights & Reporting: Utilize modern tools to deliver actionable executive reporting. When a project goes off track, you provide clear context alongside pragmatic, solution-oriented answers.

• Background: Proven experience in project controlling, multi-project management, or a PMO environment—ideally within the IT, cloud, or consulting sectors.
• Financial Acumen: Strong track record in budgeting, cost analysis, margin management, and forecasting. You don’t just manage numbers; you interpret them strategically.
• Focus & Perspective: Ability to maintain a clear overview across multiple parallel projects, set decisive priorities, and know exactly when deep-dive detail is required.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident, everyday proficiency with modern PM, ERP, and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, and modern cloud ERP platforms).
• Mindset: A trusted, peer-level sparring partner for delivery teams, finance, and executive leadership alike. You combine a hands-on attitude with confident decision-making.
• Clear Communication: Business-fluent communication skills in German or English.
