project manager in telecom transformation

First Point Group is a staffing and recruiting company supporting a major telecommunications transformation programme involving Telecom Core Networks, cloud and infrastructure.

• Lead complex, cross-domain telecom technical projects from planning through to production;
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, quality and KPIs are achieved;
• Plan and coordinate production deployments across multiple environments and sites;
• Lead deployment readiness meetings and coordinate technical and operational stakeholders;
• Define deployment strategies, rollback plans and risk mitigation activities;
• Act as a key customer interface, managing expectations, priorities and delivery objectives;
• Coordinate engineering, integration, operations and third-party vendor teams;
• Lead technical workstreams covering Analysis & Design, Integration, Verification and Validation;
• Drive resolution of technical challenges and critical production issues;
• Establish effective operational support processes between engineering and operations;
• Support pre-sales activities including scoping, estimation, risk assessment and delivery strategy;
• Contribute to customer workshops and technical discussions;
• Identify opportunities for further service and project development;
• Maintain strong governance, risk management and overall solution quality.

• 7+ Years' experience managing complex technical projects;
• Strong experience within Telecom Core Networks;
• Proven experience across Cloud and/or Data Centre environments;
• Experience managing large-scale upgrades, migrations and integration programmes;
• Strong customer-facing project management experience;
• Experience working across multiple technical and operational teams;
• Strong understanding of system engineering and integration methodologies;
• Experience with configuration and change management;
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills;
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination abilities;
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in complex environments;
• English B2 minimum;
• Nice to have: Experience supporting pre-sales, solution scoping and estimation, experience within multi-vendor and international environments, Kubernetes / OpenShift, 4G / 5G Core, DevOps / CI/CD, PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile / Scrum certification, experience with telecom operator environments.

• Contract role, initially 3 months with potential for extension.
