project manager for data centers

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation organization delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies powering online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. Its global infrastructure includes more than 200 data centers across 32 countries, supporting services for over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses.

• Manage assigned projects to meet service delivery objectives and escalate obstacles to appropriate stakeholders;
• Perform troubleshooting for service incidents and escalate issues to meet SLA/OLAs with minimal disruption;
• Follow safety and security policies and immediately report related issues or concerns;
• Participate in root cause analysis of incidents;
• Recognize potential customer impact of events and issues, communicate the impact, and plan accordingly;
• Review schedules, avoid conflicts, coordinate solutions, manage expectations, and offer alternatives;
• Manage client and supplier relationships to clarify, document, and meet expectations;
• Suggest ways to reduce maintenance risks and accommodate scheduling needs;
• Hold accountability for end-to-end service quality, completeness, and customer experience;
• Support escalation of issues to the appropriate owner.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and demonstrated industry experience, or proven industry experience and college coursework;
• Valid driving license enabling travel to and from the worksite where required;
• Ability to reliably reach the worksite within 60 minutes for operational and on-call requirements;
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements;
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter;
• Nice to have: Proven experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or physical IT infrastructures, a technical college degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, applicable ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network, PMP, ITIL, or CDCP certifications.

• Base pay range across the Netherlands: € 58,400.00 - € 94,400.00 per year;
• Onsite presence is required in the Amsterdam area;
• The role requires reliable access to the worksite within 60 minutes;
• The position includes operational and on-call requirements;
• Microsoft Cloud background check required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter;
