You combine strong product thinking with enough technical understanding to work confidently across business, data and technology teams.
You do not need to be a hands-on data engineer, but you should understand how data is sourced, transformed, structured and delivered well enough to engage with and challenge technical colleagues when needed.
Your background could be in product ownership, data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, finance, commercial performance or another related field. We welcome different career paths and are interested in the capabilities and experience you bring.
- Approximately 5+ years’ experience working with data products, BI, analytics, data engineering, reporting or product ownership.
- Experience translating business needs into user stories, requirements and prioritised backlogs.
- A good conceptual understanding of data models, datasets and data-transformation processes such as ETL.
- AI-enabled product development: Experience or a strong interest in delivering AI-enabled products and using AI tools throughout the product lifecycle, from exploring requirements and shaping solutions to improving delivery and ways of working. You bring curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and can identify where they can create meaningful business value.
- Experience working with technical teams using Agile principles and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
- Good business acumen and curiosity about how data can improve commercial decisions.
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience within commercial, sales, finance, logistics or shipping would be beneficial, but is not essential.
