• Own platform stability through SLA/SLO metrics, incident rates, and release quality;
• Hold release gating authority and block features that fail testing standards or introduce unacceptable regression risk;
• Enforce CI/CD standards centrally across pods;
• Track and report stability metrics alongside commercial outcomes;
• Own the business case for platform investment and explain its return on investment to leadership;
• Track platform impact through developer velocity, incident cost, time-to-market, reliability, and capacity;
• Contribute to platform team headcount and investment decisions;
• Own and prioritise the platform backlog by business value;
• Make roadmap trade-offs explicit and communicate their product impact;
• Define measurable success metrics for every initiative;
• Act as the main interface between Pod Leads, product teams, and engineering;
• Make platform work visible to leadership through forums and leadership reviews;
• Translate technical milestones into business milestones;
• Drive cross-team collaboration and buy-in with other Product Managers;
• Engage architecture in technical design;
• Escalate requests that would create unsustainable platform load or technical debt;
• Write code, review pull requests, and participate in architecture design;
• Bring a strong technical voice to roadmap decisions without owning final architecture calls.

• Deep, hands-on engineering background with experience shipping production systems;
• Strong commercial instinct and ability to build business cases and discuss P&L impact;
• Exceptional stakeholder management across product, engineering, and finance without direct line authority;
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and indirect, long-horizon platform value;
• Track record of contributing as an individual contributor at a senior, cross-team level;
• Proactive, low-ego, and clear communicator;
• Nice to have: experience in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling contexts, familiarity with SLA/SLO frameworks and incident management at scale, experience enforcing CI/CD standards across multiple teams or pods, prior work making infrastructure legible to non-technical leadership.
