Barclays’ payments acceptance business provides critical infrastructure to the UK economy, processing billions of pounds of payments annually for small businesses and domestic and international corporate clients. The business is being transformed through a long-term partnership with Brookfield Asset Management to expand services and improve client experience.

• Provide financial analysis, strategic insight and decision support to Product and Technology leadership teams;
• Translate investment priorities and technology spend into clear financial plans;
• Support forecasting, scenario modelling and long-term planning activities;
• Develop investment cases and ROI assessments;
• Evaluate new initiatives and resource allocation decisions;
• Provide actionable insights on business performance and identify risks and opportunities;
• Support the measurement of returns on key investments;
• Translate complex financial analysis into concise presentations for senior stakeholders;
• Evaluate investment opportunities and potential risks through research on companies, industries and market trends;
• Prepare investment recommendations and reports for investment committees;
• Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts;
• Monitor financial risks and provide regular reports to senior colleagues and the board of directors;
• Collect, analyse and interpret financial data for reports, dashboards and presentations;
• Advise and influence decision-making and contribute to policy development;
• Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments;
• Identify new directions for assignments and projects;
• Consult on complex issues and advise People Leaders on escalated issues;
• Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop policies and procedures supporting control and governance;
• Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls;
• Collaborate with other functions, business divisions and areas of work;
• Analyse data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively;
• Communicate complex information to stakeholders;
• Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

• Hold a recognised professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA;
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, strategic finance or finance business partnering;
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills;
• Experience supporting business planning and investment decisions;
• Experience leading collaborative assignments and guiding team members;
• Ability to advise stakeholders on complex issues;
• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and communicate complex information;
• Ability to influence stakeholders and support decision-making;
• Nice to have: experience in Payments, Fintech or another fast-paced, high-growth environment, experience supporting Product, Technology or other functional teams through business partnering.
