financial analyst for consumer brands

A well-established, highly recognised consumer brand operates across multiple locations and offers products and services.

• Provide financial analysis, commercial insight, and performance reporting on revenue, margin, and cost drivers
• Partner with operational managers across multiple locations, build relationships, and help them understand financial performance
• Work closely with the Finance Director, CEO, and wider senior leadership team
• Analyze revenue, profitability, margins, labor costs, productivity, and other operational KPIs
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
• Produce monthly performance reports, variance analysis, and commentary
• Identify trends, risks, and commercial opportunities and turn them into clear recommendations
• Build and maintain financial models for commercial decision-making
• Analyze central costs and work with budget holders to improve cost control and accountability
• Support analysis across products, stock, purchasing, margins, and education
• Visit business locations to build relationships with operational stakeholders and better understand performance
• Help drive the use of AI in finance using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot to improve analysis, reporting, and ways of working

• At least 2–3 years of finance experience, including commercial FP&A exposure
• Experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or as a Finance Analyst
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling experience
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to turn financial data into clear commercial insights and recommendations
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders from operational managers to the CEO and Finance Director
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot in day-to-day work
• An ambitious, commercially minded, proactive, and self-starting approach
