Financial Analyst

Houlihan Lokey is a global investment bank that provides independent strategic and financial advice to corporations, financial sponsors, and governments. The firm delivers solutions across mergers and acquisitions, capital solutions, financial restructuring, and financial and valuation advisory.

• Prepare, analyse, and help explain historical and projected financial information;
• Create financial models;
• Coordinate and perform business due diligence;
• Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations;
• Conduct research on sectors, companies, and potential buyers;
• Value companies and businesses;
• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors;
• Assist in planning engagements.

• Strong academic track record and at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
• 1–2 Years of full-time investment banking experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A);
• Demonstrable experience executing sell-side transactions;
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills;
• Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory;
• Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis, including key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations;
• Excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members;
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a highly organised manner;
• Independent, solutions-focused mindset;
• Exceptional work ethic;
• Nice to have: Industrials sector experience, fluency in a European language such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian.
