finance manager in commercial law

The employer is a London-based commercial law firm.

• Manage a finance team of 4
• Prepare P&L forecasts, cash forecasts, and updates
• Prepare statutory financial statements and audit adjustments
• Oversee annual income and cost budgets
• Conduct quarterly financial covenant tests for the bank
• Support the COFA with SRA and statutory LLP audits
• Prepare partner drawings schedules and calculate quarterly commission payments
• Review the monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Update fee earner and support staff headcount listings monthly
• Manage partners’ capital requirements, liaise with the bank, and apply for new or increased capital as required
• Analyze and value WIP and aged debts
• Lead firmwide projects and support the Finance Director with firmwide financial performance and other tasks

• ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a busy finance department in a law firm
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel and SQL
• Full SRA, VAT, and AML knowledge
• Experience running numerous finance-related projects
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
