finance manager for local delivery

Glovo is part of the Delivery Hero Group, a local delivery platform that provides fast, convenient delivery services to customers worldwide. The group operates in around 65 countries and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.

• Supervise the month-end closing process for the Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Polish legal entities;
• Ensure accurate and timely Financial Statements and Reports;
• Lead a team of 4-6 accountants from local and international markets;
• Ensure financial audits are submitted on time and collaborate with external auditors;
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations for BS and P&L;
• Ensure compliance with local tax legislation and requirements;
• Ensure accounting and financial Policies and Procedures comply with prevailing legislation;
• Map process improvements and collaborate with the Accounting PMO on planning, execution, and implementation;
• Participate in local ERP implementations and other finance projects;
• Prepare ad hoc analyses explaining P&L deviations from the Business Plan;
• Adapt to changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field;
• 8+ Years of applicable Accounting experience in multinational companies;
• Experience in people management positions;
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
• Good understanding and experience of GAAP/IFRS;
• Fluent English with clear and effective written and oral communication;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheet;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• Nice to have: experience with SAP S4/HANA and OneStream, ERP migration experience, Project Management experience.
