• Own the infrastructure layer end-to-end by provisioning and managing development, staging, and production data environments with Infrastructure as Code;
• Design and enforce IAM policies, role-based access controls, secrets rotation, and secure provisioning for external BI tools such as Looker and Tableau;
• Configure GitLab runners and automated CI/CD pipelines for data workflows;
• Maintain integrations across repositories, warehouses, orchestration frameworks, and analytics tools;
• Implement observability frameworks with proactive alerting and fast root-cause analysis across pipelines and infrastructure;
• Audit resource utilisation, establish cost-allocation tagging, optimise cloud spend, and maintain disaster recovery readiness;
• Act as a bridge between Data Engineering, Core Infrastructure, and IT to unblock secure and efficient delivery.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent in a data or analytics platform context;
• Strong experience with cloud IAM, secrets management, and security hardening across data platform environments;
• Experience operating CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab, and tailoring them for data engineering workflows;
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, orchestration tools, and BI platforms;
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions for data infrastructure;
• Experience with cost governance, including auditing cloud spend, tagging resources, and making optimisation recommendations;
• Nice to have: experience supporting BI tool access provisioning for Looker or Tableau, or working as an internal developer advocate within a data team.
