• Contribute to Google Cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, serverless, and Terraform;
• Work with engineering teams to build paved paths that make the right infrastructure choice easier;
• Improve the path from commit to production through faster builds, safer rollouts, and clearer CI/CD failures;
• Treat the platform as a product by anticipating engineering needs and designing and scaling services that meet business requirements;
• Work with teams to integrate AI into development, debugging, and incident investigation workflows;
• Evaluate where AI works and where it does not, and evolve tooling, context, and guardrails;
• Support monitoring and diagnostics and improve observability, alerting, and SLOs;
• Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure meets financial services regulatory requirements;
• Turn regulatory requirements into guardrails that enable compliant delivery by default;
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain platform components in production;
• Grow into ownership of complete platform areas.

• Experience building, shipping, and operating production backend services;
• Understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle from code review through deployment and production operations;
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform;
• Experience deploying to Kubernetes, serverless environments, or both;
• Experience fixing or improving CI/CD pipelines;
• Product engineering mindset focused on helping engineers ship faster and safer;
• Critical daily use of AI tools and ability to explain where they fail and why;
• Comfort working with ambiguity, unfamiliar code, and loosely defined problems;
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as JavaScript or Python;
• Habit of automating repetitive work;
• Nice to have: GCP experience, interest in investing.
