paytech is a fintech company operating payment infrastructure across multiple isolated AWS accounts for several fintech products. Its core stack includes Oracle Database, APEX applications, and high-throughput transactional processing pipelines.

• Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, procedures, functions, triggers, and packages;
• Perform performance tuning using AWR, ASH, and EXPLAIN PLAN;
• Manage database schemas, DDL migrations, partitioning, indexes, ETL processes, and secure PL/SQL development;
• Administer Oracle APEX environments, including upgrades, workspace management, application support, and performance troubleshooting;
• Manage AWS RDS Oracle instances, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, backups, snapshots, PITR, storage, and performance optimization;
• Perform data migration and replication using Data Pump and AWS DMS (CDC);
• Design and maintain backup and recovery processes;
• Handle restore, schema recovery, and migration scenarios;
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, workload, blocking, deadlocks, CPU/IO issues, and maintenance activities.

• 3+ Years of DBA experience, including at least 2 years with Oracle DB;
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills, including packages, cursors, exceptions, and dynamic SQL;
• Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX administration or application development;
• Practical experience with AWS RDS Oracle provisioning, configuration, and day-to-day management;
• Solid understanding of backup and recovery strategies and experience with Data Pump;
• Ability to read and interpret execution plans and AWR reports;
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including bash, cron, and filesystem operations;
• Nice to have: fintech or payment systems background, familiarity with PCI DSS requirements, Oracle DMS or Kinesis or other CDC solutions, Terraform or Ansible for IaC-driven database infrastructure management, Prometheus or Grafana or similar observability tooling, ORDS architecture and REST integrations via APEX, upgrading Oracle APEX across major versions.
