• Build and maintain shared cloud infrastructure, tooling, and deployment pipelines used by other squads;
• Define infrastructure as code and make secure configuration the default;
• Maintain edge and network security tooling and share day-to-day operational ownership of the platform;
• Build automated checks for cloud security and compliance requirements;
• Automate evidence collection and reporting for ISO 27001;
• Identify and report gaps, configuration drift, and findings for prioritisation and resolution;
• Work with the Head of Security to turn written policy into controls enforced by tooling;
• Review and tighten cloud account access towards least privilege;
• Improve secrets, credentials, and machine identity management;
• Make access changes auditable and straightforward for engineers to request and review;
• Extend AWS standards, tooling, and controls to the Google Cloud estate;
• Work with Google Cloud teams to understand their needs and identify gaps;
• Align goals and solutions with squad members and stakeholders;
• Support engineers using the platform and consider their feedback;
• Build shared understanding through pairing, discussions, and reviews;
• Document work to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance;
• Take ownership of a learning journey and technical development plan;
• Approach challenges with curiosity and a growth mindset;
• Learn from peers and seek feedback and mentorship.

• Commercial experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on a major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure);
• Hands-on experience defining infrastructure as code using CDK, Terraform, or similar;
• Experience building and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines;
• Good working understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including identity and access management, secrets management, network controls, and encryption;
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, ideally Python;
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment;
• Nice to have: a security specialism such as cloud security posture management, security tooling, threat modelling, or compliance automation; experience across multiple cloud providers, ideally AWS and Google Cloud.

• Salary range: £55,000 GBP - £65,000 GBP;
• Home setup support includes best-in-class technology, money towards a desk, and vision support;
• The four-stage interview process will be held via Zoom; it includes an initial Talent team conversation, an informal meeting with the hiring manager (about 45 minutes), a longer interview (up to an hour) with the hiring manager and two engineers involving competency questions and a technical scenario, and an informal conversation with the Head of Security. There is no take-home exercise;
• Work setup requires a distraction-free area and a reliable internet connection with a speed of 25Mbps; computer use is expected to be around seven hours a day.
