platform engineer for enterprise platforms

Generali Osiguranje Srbija is establishing an enterprise platform foundation based on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes technologies for business-critical applications and shared technology services.

• Design, implement, and maintain the Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes platform for business-critical applications and shared technology services;
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and GitOps approaches;
• Develop standard patterns for networking, storage, identity, secrets, certificates, security, monitoring, backup/recovery, and scaling;
• Introduce and maintain shared platform services for APIs and integrations, event streaming, DevOps, observability, and automation;
• Develop self-service capabilities and reusable components that enable development teams to deliver faster and with greater control;
• Prepare the platform for future AI-enabled and agentic AI workloads, including deployment, configuration, access to models and APIs, persistent state, observability, and lifecycle management;
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Integration, and Data & AI teams to introduce new technology capabilities;
• Resolve complex production issues and continuously improve platform stability, reliability, performance, and security.

• Several years of practical experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift platforms;
• Good knowledge of Linux systems, containers, networking, and cloud-native principles;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, or GitOps tools and practices;
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions;
• Understanding of security, scalability, resilience, backup/recovery, and enterprise platform operations;
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies;
• Independence, systems thinking, and ownership of production platforms;
• Active English proficiency;
• Nice to have: experience with API management, integration, or event streaming platforms; experience building an internal developer platform or maintaining shared DevOps and observability services; experience hosting data, integration, automation, or AI workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms; understanding of platform needs for AI-enabled and agentic applications, including model and API connectivity, workload identity, persistent state, and observability; relevant Red Hat, Kubernetes, cloud, DevOps, or security certifications.
