• Design, deliver, and maintain enterprise AI infrastructure, including the AI Gateway, inference routing, guardrails, and observability
• Drive execution across workstreams, set engineering standards, remove blockers, and coach engineers
• Design, develop, and improve software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues
• Deliver high-quality software solutions and ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solutions, and align integrations with business objectives
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing
• Keep up with technology trends and contribute to technology communities
• Apply secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing
• Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and recommend changes
• Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies and processes; deliver continuous improvements; escalate policy and procedure breaches
• Guide technical direction and lead collaborative, multi-year assignments
• Guide team members through structured assignments and identify when additional areas of specialisation are needed
• Train, guide, and coach less experienced specialists
• Advise key stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross-functional impact and alignment
• Assess and mitigate risks in support of control and governance objectives
• Demonstrate accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls

• Expert in Python (FastAPI/async), Go, or Java for high-throughput, low-latency production systems
• Deep knowledge of AWS, EKS, Envoy, Bedrock, IAM, Aurora, CloudFormation, GPU scheduling, multi-tenancy, and service mesh (Istio)
• Experience with enterprise-scale platform and infrastructure architecture, distributed systems, active-active, and failover patterns
• Experience with GenAI/Agentic AI, LangGraph/LangChain or Google ADK, MCP/A2A protocols, prompt engineering, RAG, and vLLM serving
• Demonstrate risk and controls expertise, change and transformation capabilities, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organisational functions and the ability to advise senior stakeholders
