platform engineer for cloud infrastructure

The company provides freelance cloud and DevOps platform engineering services focused on modern cloud-native infrastructure across GCP and OCI.

• Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform across GCP and OCI;
• Operate, maintain, and optimise managed Kubernetes clusters, including OKE and GKE;
• Manage and enhance core platform components, including Kong API Gateway, Istio / Service Mesh, HashiCorp Vault, and ExternalDNS;
• Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and integrate CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery;
• Deploy, configure, and support observability tooling, including Dynatrace, Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana;
• Strengthen platform security through SAST, DAST, RBAC, mTLS, image scanning, and broader DevSecOps controls;
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execution in alignment with RTO/RPO targets and SAMA IT Governance.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GCP, OCI, and cloud automation;
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including OKE and GKE, container orchestration, and platform operations;
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, secrets management, and DNS automation;
• Background in GitOps, CI/CD, and modern delivery pipelines;
• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks;
• Experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, and compliance frameworks;
• Experience leading DR strategy, resilience engineering, and governance alignment.
