DevOps engineer in sicherheitskritischen Projekten

For our current customer projects in security-critical and regulated environments, we are looking for experienced Senior DevOps, SRE and Platform Engineers.

• Designing demanding platform and infrastructure projects—from conception through implementation and automation to stable production operations
• Building, operating and continuously developing modern platform environments based on Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
• Administering and further developing Linux-based enterprise environments, container platforms, microservices and web applications
• Designing and standardizing CI/CD processes for build, test, deployment and operations
• Automating infrastructure, deployment and operational processes with Ansible, Terraform, Shell/Bash, Python, Go or comparable technologies
• Developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management solutions
• Implementing and operating containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Building and further developing monitoring, logging and observability solutions
• Taking responsibility for 2nd- and 3rd-level support for complex system and platform environments
• Structured analysis and lasting resolution of complex error patterns and incidents
• Supporting incident handling, crisis communications and root cause analyses
• Taking security, compliance and operational requirements into account and implementing them
• Contributing to operational, security and platform concepts, as well as technical standards and documentation
• Ensuring traceability, auditability and quality when making changes to platforms and infrastructure
• Working closely with development, architecture, security, operations and project leads

• At least 5 years of verifiable professional and project experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering, with concrete project experience and a high degree of personal contribution to implementation
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift 4, ideally including enterprise cluster administration
• Very good knowledge of GitLab and GitLab CI/CD or comparable DevOps platforms
• Experience with automated build, test and deployment processes
• Experience operating production-oriented applications and platforms
• Good knowledge of infrastructure as code and automation, particularly Ansible and/or Terraform
• Confident working with Linux, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with Docker and container technologies
• Practical experience with monitoring and observability, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/ELK, Splunk or Opsgenie
• Experience with IT infrastructure security, BSI IT-Grundschutz, Zero Trust, secret management or comparable security topics
• Knowledge of identity and access management, for example LDAP, SAML2, OIDC or OAuth2
• Ability to analyze errors systematically, handle incidents and communicate during crises
• Willingness to document technical changes in a traceable way and implement them in regulated environments
• German language skills at C1/C2 level
• English language skills at B2 level
• Residence in Germany near Braunschweig, Brandenburg or Berlin
• Willingness to collaborate on a project basis in security-critical and regulated customer environments
