• Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD platforms and workflows;
• Own complex technical problems from discovery through to solution;
• Define and promote engineering standards and best practice;
• Design Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud and hybrid platforms;
• Provide technical leadership within delivery teams;
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers;

• Strong experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines;
• Deep understanding of Git-based workflows;
• Production experience with Terraform using HCL;
• Python experience for automation and tooling;
• Experience with Bash, PowerShell or Go;
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP;
• Working knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures;
• Understanding of identity, networking and security in cloud platforms;
• Strong Linux experience;
• Windows Server experience;
• Familiarity with macOS for engineering workflows;
• Good knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls and routing;
• VMware experience, including vSphere, ESXi or similar;
• Understanding of physical infrastructure and data centre environments;
• Proven experience leading by influence, not title;
• Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly;
• Comfortable challenging designs and assumptions;
• Experience developing and mentoring engineers;
• Strong collaboration and communication skills;
• Ability to balance delivery with longer-term improvement;
• Experience working in agile delivery environments;
• Comfortable working across multiple teams or clients;
• Pragmatic approach to tooling and architecture;
