DevOps engineer in Cloud-Plattformen

As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you take on a central role in designing, developing, and transforming modern IT and platform architectures. You are responsible for the technical direction of DevOps environments and ensure that scalable, secure, and high-performance systems are implemented across complex project landscapes.

• Technical leadership in the design and development of complex DevOps and platform architectures
• Responsibility for the architecture and operation of modern cloud and container platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Terraform)
• Making architectural decisions and selecting suitable technologies and DevOps strategies
• Ensuring the code quality, performance, security, and stability of production systems
• Contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements through to production use
• Leading and providing subject-matter support to DevOps teams, as well as mentoring engineers
• Implementing and developing CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies
• Responsibility for modernizing and transforming existing system landscapes
• Ensuring compliance with standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Actively contributing to pre-sales activities and architectural concepts
• Building and sharing knowledge about new technologies, methods, and platforms

• A completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a comparable qualification
• More than 10 years of professional experience in a DevOps/cloud environment
• Fluent German or English skills (at least C1)
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container technologies
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
• Experience with microservices architectures and API-based systems
• Expertise in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices
• Experience in banking, insurance, automotive, or industrial projects
