devops engineer for e-mobility products

EWE Go GmbH is becoming a leading e-mobility brand in Germany through a comprehensive and reliable network of fast-charging stations and a fair, transparent charging service. The company aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2035.

• Ensure reliable operation and continuous improvement of digital e-mobility products within a cross-functional team;
• Develop, provision, and operate AWS cloud application environments using Terraform for container-based and serverless applications built with TypeScript and Node.js;
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and technical automation processes using GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices;
• Monitor cloud accounts, infrastructure, application environments, and services using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar tools;
• Take ownership of operations by participating in on-call rotations, responding to incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and troubleshooting complex operational issues through 2nd- and 3rd-level support;
• Perform release deployments, rollout activities, and migration processes for reliable and auditable delivery of IT systems and applications;
• Define and implement security- and reliability-related measures in line with IT security and operational policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements;
• Collaborate on cloud infrastructure, software architecture, IT security, technical operations, and technical support tasks;
• Share knowledge through technical demos, documentation, pair programming, and knowledge transfer sessions.

• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer;
• Experience with and willingness to work in on-call rotation, incident management, and 3rd-level technical support in production environments;
• Experience building or operating highly available cloud-native applications and IT systems in AWS;
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and at least 2 years of experience using it with AWS;
• Advanced experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with integrated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies;
• Advanced hands-on experience with observability and monitoring for cloud-native applications and IT systems;
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Bash and TypeScript/JavaScript;
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TLS/SSL, WebSocket, and DNS;
• Familiarity with IAM, RBAC, Least Privilege, and Zero Trust security concepts;
• Experience working in agile software development environments and cross-functional teams;
• Fluent written and spoken English;
• German proficiency at B1 level or above is considered;
• Customer-oriented mindset focused on enhancing customer experience;
• Nice to have: Experience with GitHub Actions.
