devops engineer for e-commerce platforms

Canyon is a direct-to-consumer e-commerce company in the bike industry. Its digital products, apps, e-commerce systems, and CRM systems support the brand experience delivered to customers.

• Provision, set up, and operate infrastructure for apps, including Backend for Frontend architecture in Azure;
• Maintain and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tooling;
• Automate build, deployment, and release processes;
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform across Azure environments;
• Own the strategy, provisioning, and administration of infrastructure supporting deployment, monitoring, and test automation;
• Develop and optimise processes and software platforms;
• Act as the interface between app development and e-commerce and CRM systems;
• Strengthen observability and operational readiness through monitoring, logging, and alerting;
• Improve reliability through automation and reduce manual operational toil.

• At least three years of professional experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or platform role;
• Solid knowledge of scripting languages;
• Strong knowledge of MS Azure and hands-on experience with Terraform;
• Experience with DevOps tooling;
• Knowledge of various server systems;
• Familiarity with agile methodologies;
• Self-driven and independent working style;
• Strong professional communication within and beyond the team;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field, or a vocational qualification in IT;
• Nice to have: experience supporting e-commerce and CRM systems, containerisation and orchestration experience, cost-awareness and performance optimisation in cloud environments, comfort working with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex or Claude, interest in connected products or the cycling domain.
