DevOps Engineer

Apoddo develops software products.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available infrastructure on AWS;
• Champion Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure environments are reproducible and secure by design;
• Optimize cloud spend, performance, and resource utilization;
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins;
• Integrate automated testing into the deployment workflow;
• Manage and scale containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS);
• Build logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks with DataDog, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch;
• Act as a technical point of contact for US stakeholders;
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks;
• Maintain availability for a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with US business hours for synchronous collaboration and standups;
• Review the current AWS footprint, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure backlog during the first 30 days;
• Identify infrastructure gaps and improvements, take ownership of infrastructure sprint planning, and improve CI/CD reliability by day 60;
• Streamline deployment automation, improve monitoring and alerting coverage, and introduce cost and scaling optimizations by day 90.

• 3+ Years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role;
• Strong expertise in AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, EKS, and Route53;
• Strong proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation;
• Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS);
• Exceptional English communication skills;
• Ability to commit to a consistent daily schedule with at least 4 hours of overlap with US business hours;
• Nice to have: Experience integrating automated security testing (SAST/DAST) into CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with IAM and least-privilege access models on AWS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent.
